About the event
Borouge Film & Fibre and Moulding Marketing Centres will be rubbing shoulders with the Heads of Packaging from leading brand owners like P&G, Unilver, Walmart, Bayer Healthcare, Cargill Asia Pacific amongst others at the first Packaging And Converting Executive Forum in Asia. With a booth showcase of our packaging product samples and eight one-on-one scheduled closed door discussions with the brand owners, this platform allows us to get deeper insights into the needs of the retailers and brand owners on consumer packaging. Laurence Jones, Vice President, Film & Fibre Marketing Centre, will also be highlighting on the sustainable solutions and packaging trends amongst retailers today.

Plastics Packaging – the sustainable solution for retailers
There’s a common misconception that plastics are bad for the environment. Plastics are in fact good for the environment, they only become a problem when littered irresponsibly. This places retailers under pressure to ban plastics, when they should be continuing the use of plastics in their packaging.  According to study by PlasticsEurope, plastics prevent wastage and damage to goods; reduce the cost of transportation and have a low carbon footprint over the product lifecycle – all while presenting improved aesthetics for product display.  Laurence Jones, Vice President, Borouge Film & Fibre Marketing, is happy to share more.
