Borouge’s Technical Manager for Film & Moulding, Ryan Zhang introduced the conference participants to the technical properties and specifications of Borouge’s compounded PP grades such as FS65T20 and GD367WGC. He said that FS65T20 PP ensures very good mechanical and processing properties. The material has been successfully used in a wide range of white goods such as washing machines and dish washers, as well as small appliances like vacuum cleaners.
On the other hand, GD367WGC grade is recognized with its excellent balance of mechanical properties and processing ability and it is perfect for low warpage. This material has been successfully used in demanding applications such as an air conditioners fan to replace glass fiber filled AS and ABS which significantly reduces material cost by more than 10%.
“Haier and Midea companies are currently using our compounded PP grades including FS65T20 and GD367WGC materials which were developed by our team to offer Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) with high quality innovative solutions that help them remain cost effective and ensure significant savings by replacing metal components with reliable plastics ones in the white goods appliances,” Zhang comments.
