In line with its commitment to sustainability, Borouge signed up as a key partner of the National University Video Contest in China due to be held between June and November 2012. Co-organized by the China Chemical Society under the Association of International Chemical Manufacturers (ACIM) and the East China University of Technology, the contest aims to build stronger awareness of sustainability and identify how the chemical industry can contribute to a greener future.
Over 70 universities across China have been invited to join the contest to help spread a message of sustainability through creative and compelling ways. Participants can select from a variety of topics ranging from clean water solutions, advanced material applications, energy solutions, ways to meet the global food challenge and reduce carbon footprint, as well as ideas that help enhance health and safety in daily life.
“Sustainability is one of the core commitments at Borouge,” said Hu Wei, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Borouge. “Sponsorship of the Chinese University Video Contest represents our efforts as a member of the global Responsible Care Charter in driving industry collaboration to advance sustainability.”
