Borouge, a leading provider of innovative, value creating plastics solutions, announced their exclusive sponsorship for the UAE Olympic Team’s preparation camps and matches in Europe prior to their participation in the upcoming 2012 Olympic Games in London. The sponsorship is fulfilled in collaboration with the UAE Football Association and comes in line with Borouge’s continuous support to UAE national sports activities and commitment to its corporate social responsibility.
Upon their successful and first time qualification in the finals ahead of the 2012 Olympic Games in London, the UAE Olympic Team decides to organize training and preparation camps in Switzerland and Austria from June 17 to July 20, 2012. As one of the first supporters to the UAE National and Olympic Teams, Borouge decided to sponsor the team’s external camps in Europe as a contribution of support and motivation to help the UAE Olympic football champions to secure outstanding accomplishments in London.
“We feel proud to exclusively sponsor the preparation camps and matches that the UAE Olympic Team is holding in Europe,” said Abdulaziz Alhajri CEO of Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge). “These champions are a pride of our nation and through their training and well preparation we are sure they will face other international teams with confidence and score goals and win matches, adding more points to their honourable sports record.”
Alhajri pointed out that the UAE Olympic Team consists of a well structured squad who established themselves as a ‘dream team’ for being well trained and showing an outstanding level of harmony and determination to win. He wishes the UAE Olympic Team the best luck in their training and preparation matches anticipating that such a strong team would certainly achieve excellent results in the main matches of the London Olympic Games. He extended his thanks to the president of the UAE Football Association, the team’s coach and the players for having the opportunity to contribute to their success.
