Borouge, a leading provider of innovative, value creating plastics solutions, reinforced its position as a pioneer polyolefins supplier and technical service supporter to the Pakistan plastics industry at the 11th International Plastics and Packaging Industry Trade Fair (Plasti & Pack Pakistan) held at the Expo Centre in Lahore from September 5-7, 2013.
HE Chaudhary Muhammad Shafique, Minister of Industries, Commerce & Investment, opened the exhibition which was attended by representatives of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry and other Pakistani food and packaging companies. Supported by its agent in Pakistan, Arfeen, Borouge demonstrated its latest innovative polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) plastics solutions and organised a technical seminar to highlight its commitment to continue offering technical support to customers, manufacturers and convertors in the plastics industry in Pakistan.

In 2010, Borouge cooperated with Pakistan NGO HEED Association and Sun International to replace the water distribution networks in four villages in Northern Pakistan, Mattoo, Thoniyan, Matteiyan and Daba that were destroyed by the recent floods. In the summer of 2011, the partners agreed to provide new water systems to four more villages in the same region bringing the total number of people served to 5,200.
