Central to Borouge’s success is our US$1.2 billion petrochemical complex in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi in the UAE, which is the first Borstar® facility in the Middle East and Asia Pacific. The complex which came onstream in late 2001, and was officially inaugurated in October 2002.

The 260-hectare complex comprises a 600,000-tonne ethylene cracker and two Borstar technology polyethylene lines.
