The rotational moulding market is developing fast, both in terms of technical advancement and in total volume. To contribute to the market’s demand for more competitive ways of production and enhanced material properties, our parent company, Borealis, has developed an advanced polymer technology, Borecene - the third generation of polyethylene for the rotomoulding industry.
Compared to standard PE grades, metallocene catalysed Borecene offers:
- Improved mechanical properties including impact strength and ESCR
- Improved flow properties for improved process efficiency
- Less resin complexity for simplified material handling
- Light weighting potential resulting in significant material savings
- Better surface finish for enhanced aesthetic quality
- Less wall bubbles enabling optimal moulding performance
Borecene Compact is a black powder format of Borecene, which eliminates the need for traditional powder grinding, thereby bringing additional advtanges:
- Improved mould filling
- Easier flow in complicated parts
- Better environmental conditions
- Less dust
- Improved powder quality
Borecene Compact™ are typically used for black rotomoulded products as on diesel tanks, underground applications and pipe systems, automotive, and tanks. The Carbon Black is evenly dispersed, and will guarantee long lasting of the rotomoulded items.
Product portfolio, Borecene Compact™:
