Overview:

Established in May 1998, Borouge is a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Borealis A/S, one of Europe’s leading producer of polyolefins. Its name in Arabic means “constellation of stars” or “towers”.

Operations:

Borouge is made up of two operations. These are:

Production based in Abu Dhabi
Sales & Marketing based in Singapore

Key Products:

Borouge’s Borstar bimodal polyethylene products include a comprehensive grade range for use in the advanced packaging as well as infrastructure (pipe and wire & cable) and automotive industries.

Borouge also oversees the distribution and marketing of Borealis’ range of speciality polyolefins in the Middle East and Asia Pacific.

Target market:

Geographically, our target markets are the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Africa.

Application wise we focus on high performance advanced packaging as well as infrastructure (pipe and wire & cable jacketing) and automotive industries.

Sales and marketing efforts are managed out of Singapore, with full-fledged sales offices in Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Mumbai, Beirut, Saudi Arabia, Australia and New Zealand as well as agents in Egypt, Pakistan, Nepal, Iran, Taiwan, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Bangladesh and Vietnam.
