Our Operations

Borouge started production in 2001 with 450,000 tonnes per year and in 2010 Borouge tripled its annual production capacity to 2 million tonnes. In 2015 Borouge increased its annual capacity to 4.5 million tonnes, increasing it to 5 million tonnes in 2022. The company is planning to achieve 6.4 million tonnes by 2025, a 14-fold increase in overall capacity since its first production.

Borouge is expanding its commercial and logistics network in the Middle East and Asia. Focused on our company’s mission ’value creation through people and innovation’, we ensure we play a vital role in supporting the industry by developing creative solutions that bring value to polymer manufacturers, convertors and end-users.

Global Presence

Our coordinated global sales and marketing organisation is supported by strong distribution and logistics capabilities, allowing us to reach customers around the world while seeking to maximise returns. We are concentrating our expansion on growth markets, a global approach that is enabled by our production complex in the Middle East and our marketing, sales and delivery platform centralised in Singapore. This differentiates us from competitors focused only on Asia or the Americas.
